Hailey Fowler

A quadruple threat talent - Hailey is located in Vancouver on the stolen unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. As a second generation Finnish Canadian, she is grateful to create across the lower mainland as an arts educator. Able to work in multiple disciplines, Hailey enjoys her time working with arts organizations, and schools, to discover expression with the next generation- especially through musicality. She explores imagination through play, curiousity, and joy through story-telling. As a choreographer, she believes it is crucial that movement pushes the narrative forward and for dancers to be mindful. Intention and Tension play important roles in her work. . 

 Growing up in Richmond, British Columbia, a young Hailey was introduced into the world of acting. A child with big feelings and love for expressing herself through song, theatre became a safe space. The first time Hailey considered a career as an artist was during her training with Arts Umbrella's Pre-Professional Training Program on Granville Island... that, as well as watching a performance of Idina Menzel singing "Defying Gravity". Hailey has her BFA in Theatre (with a minor in Renaissance Literature) from the University of Victoria, graduating in 2019.

 Since completing her degree, Hailey has continued to expand her craft. This driven mindset has taken Hailey across the globe from training internationally in London, UK with The Globe Theatre or locally, such as completing the Arts Clubs Summer (Senior) Musical Theatre Intensive. In 2020, she was chosen as a candidate for the Moving Voice Intensive in Toronto, but the pandemic had other plans. Hailey has begun branching into the film industry working with indie companies such as QuestCoast Studios or self-funded projects.  In her spare time, she can be found working in audience services at various venues on Granville Island.

 Hailey believes it is important to be adaptive and flexible due to the nature of an industry that is forever growing: like the tides, things change quickly. Hailey is constantly building her network (in Vancouver and beyond) and always thrilled to chat about future collaborations.
